Fast running out of power, random shutdown, overheating or inactive 3D Touch are popular troubles that a large number of Apple users may encounter with the newly-released product.
Poor battery life
This is a popular problem on the phone and iPhone 6S from Apple is not an exception. According to BGR, poor battery life and slow charging rate can be considered as the biggest disadvantages of this smartphone. Although Apple has made improvements on the iPhone 6S helping its processor consume less power and optimize iOS 9, the new model has a lower battery capacity than the iPhone 6.
To fix this, users are supposed to check any application that consumes the most battery power. By going to Settings > Battery and then stop at the Battery Usage, you can see some software listed and how much energy each consumes. Uninstall unnecessary applications or turn them off.
Also, the battery life on the iPhone can be extended by shutting down applications running in the background. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and then switch to off mode or only maintain the truly necessary software.
A new feature on iOS 9 which helps to improve battery life is Low Power Mode enabled by going to Settings > Battery. At this point, the battery icon will turn yellow and show how much percentage of battery is left. However, iPhone 6s will lower clocked processor, disable some features in order to extend the time of use, so that users may see the gadget run more slowly.
Many customers complain about this error on Apple’s support site and a survey for 1,000 members reveals that about half of them have trouble iPhone 6S with random shutdown. To open it, users cannot press the power button in the normal way but to hold the power button simultaneously and the Home button for 10 seconds to reboot the iPhone.
Some experts say that the random shutdown problem on the iPhone 6S comes from incidents of iOS 9 but Apple has not released updates. The temporary Workaround is to restore the settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. If not, maybe you can try to either install new setting or run completely new firmware.
Inactive 3D Touch
The touch screen is one of the major improvements of the iPhone 6s over previous generation products. However, this feature does not work sometimes and receive many complaints from customers. According to BGR, the cause comes from the hardware inside the device, so the only solution is to bring the gadget to an Apple service center.
But before that, users have to make sure that your3D Touch feature is turned on. Check it by going to Settings > General > Accessibility > 3D Touch and ensure it is not disabled. Then return to the main screen and then press on some icons like Phone, Photo … to see if there is currently any submenu.
Many high-end smartphones and also iPhones 6S are calling for overheating issue. On Redit forum, several customers said they received the notification informing that the gadget was too hot, so the device didn’t support LED flash.
The cause of this problem may stem from both hardware and software. However, users can previously check the installed applications on iPhone 6s by going to Settings > Battery. If there is any software on the list of Battery Usage accounting for 35-40% but you don’t use it very often, disable the application in background mode or even remove it.
